END SARS vs. BLM: Global Perspectives on Police Brutality and Social Justice

This online panel event seeks to: identify the factors that contribute to police brutality in Nigeria; connect the dots between the current uprisings in Africa; discuss synergies and opportunities for alignment amongst Africans; and deconstruct similar global protests like Black Lives Matter and defunding the police in the US. Moderated by Ada Umenwaliri, Associate Director, UNC Africa Studies Center.
