Diversifying Perspectives in K-5 Classrooms Using Contemporary African Art

The ASC is leading a professional development session at the Comprehensive Arts Education Conference at Meredith College on Saturday, September 7 from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Participants will familiarize themselves with the center’s Oak Foundation project and build confidence incorporating Senegalese and Ghanaian art in elementary school classrooms. This conference will be an informative session providing details on the new K-12 Arts Education Standards Framework and will include inspiring performances by Meredith College Performing Arts Students and motivational speeches by special invited guests.
